Building the Kahuna Bay Brand: Shift in Focus

Kahuna Bay has been going for one year in just another week. Its been an amazing year- packed with three massive international trips to establish links with our factories in South East Asia among a zillion other things.

When I first started Kahuna Bay I envisoned it as more of a place for my customers to shop online for their beach house style decor. But, this direction is changing somewhat.

If your a regular visitor to the Kahuna Bay website, then you’ll notice in the last few weeks the number of products has decreased. I am gradually phasing out all products that are not manufactured by Kahuna Bay. The only items left on our website that are not manufactured for us is the whitewash seaside range.

The main reason for this change is to establish a strong consistent brand within the Australian homewares market. We are now stockists for around twenty boutiques Australia wide. Our customers need to see the same consistent products on the website as in our stockist shops.

The branding shift is also narrowing our niche market to focus on tropic style instead of just beach house style. In the coming months you will see some additions to our product range including:

  • New range of Mango wood and Capiz inlaid homewares such as stunning large trays, bowls and platters.
  • Timber tropic style of photo frame with funky colours
  • Expansion of the jewellery range
  • Expansion of the soft furnishing collection in vivid tropical colours using soft silks

Thanks for your support to all of our wonderful customers over the past year. I look forward to bringing you many great new gorgeous products for your tropical homes.

Susie
