I once had a big blackboard in my house just like this. A friend found it on the side of the road. It started out as a window frame in an old Queenslander house in Brighton.
I went to Bunnings and a piece of MDF cut to size and painted it with blackboard paint. I’ll look for a photo. I put it in my shop for a while. Everyone wanted to buy it… but I wouldn’t sell!
About a year ago I started a couple groups on Flickr for people to post their coastal inspired decorating images and images of the beach. It’s just amazing how it’s grown into a little community.
